Improv

Actor/Writer/improvisor James Kirkland attended Emerson College where he studied “poetry”. Upon learning that “poetry” paid “little” to “nothing”, he shifted gears to comedy. After training improv at the IO west in Hollywood, he spent three years in Amsterdam at the legendary improv comedy theater Boom Chicago. When he returned to Los Angeles he created the sketch comedy show "Stevie TV" that ran for two seasons on VH1. He is the author of The Bill Walton Mysteries book series, including book one: “Friend of the Devil” And book two: "Fire on the Mountain", His one man show "Lord of the Lies" was featured in the Hollywood Fringe Fest. He can be seen and heard in many commercials and you may recognize him from guest stars in “Community”, “Night Court” and “Criminal Minds”.
